Introduction

When electrons are accelerated back and forth, electromagnetic waves are produced. Different frequencies of vibration produce different wavelengths, and these are lined up on the EM Spectrum. We subdivide the spectrum into regions that correspond to frequencies with different useful properties.

  • what are the frequencies/wavelengths used in this form of technology;
  • what substances absorb, reflect, and transmit this kind of wave;
  • where are the transmitter and receiver involved in this technology.
